Zack Snyder Wants Ben Affleck To Direct The Next BATMAN Film

Of all the complaints that fans have given Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman was not one of them. For many, this new incarnation of the Dark Knight is the definite Batman. He was brutal, strong, and scary, but above all, he was Batman. For all the early complaints, Affleck blew them away with his performance, and now fans are wanting him to take on the Batman’s next adventure.

At this point, rumors seem to indicate that Ben Affleck’s already written a solo Batman film, but now director Zack Snyder indicates that whether or not he actually decides to do the film is still up in the air, but he wants Ben to take it.

In a recent interview with JOE.ie, Zack Snyder revealed that he definitely wants Affleck to take on the job.

I keep working on him, he’s always said he’s a one movie at a time guy. He’s finishing editing his film, Live By Night and then he comes to Justice League and then after that, I think he’s going to try and develop the story. Then we’ll see if he likes it.”

When asked if Ben Affleck will also direct the film in addition to starring as Batman and writing the script (like he has with several of his best films in the past), Snyder confirmed that’s the idea everyone is going for.

“Oh yeah, for sure. I think he would.  I think that’s kind of the prerequisite, hopefully, for him doing [the film].”

While at this point the possibility is still up in the air, but it sounds like he is getting plenty of support to take on the job.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is currently in theaters.
