A new rumor indicates that A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt has met with Marvel Studios.
Marvel Studios is hard at work trying to expand its roster of films, all the while making them as inclusive and diverse as possible. With their string of successes, Marvel Studios has been able to get some of the most interesting and in-demand filmmakers and stars to herald their films. One of the biggest oversights in Marvel Studios’ roster of actors is A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt. One of the most popular stars of the last decade, Emily Blunt has carved a name for herself as a leading star thanks to films like A Quiet Place, Edge of Tomorrow, and Mary Poppins Returns.
Now, a brand new report from Murphy’s Multiverse indicates that A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt met with Marvel Studios while she was filming Disney’s Jungle Cruise. The report mentions that they are unaware if the A Quiet Place star passed on the role in question or is currently working on it with Marvel Studios. It should be noted that Emily Blunt has previously been courted by Marvel Studios.
Emily Blunt was once tapped to play Peggy Carter and Black Widow. Unfortunately, she passed on both roles due to numerous reasons, with one of them being scheduling issues. At that stage, the Marvel Studios machine wasn’t the sure-fire hit it is considered now, so we can’t blame A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt for passing on both roles. However, now that Marvel Studios has proven itself, perhaps Emily Blunt is considering joining the family she refused to join? While this is just a rumor, Emily Blunt’s star power is undeniable, and she would be a perfect fit for Marvel Studios.

A Quiet Place followed a family’s struggle to survive in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing, which forced humans to remain silent in order to avoid becoming prey. The story concluded with Emily Blunt’s Evelyn Abbot preparing to take on the creatures as they invaded the home she took shelter in with her children and husband (who sacrificed himself to save his family) after discovering a way to defeat them.
Written and directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place: Part II stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Djimon Hounsou.
A Quiet Place: Part II is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 20, 2020.
