Meet the world's greatest hunter!

Set photos from Kraven the Hunter show the upcoming Sony Spider-Man spin-off’s star, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, looking ready to take on any foes the film throws his way.

Kraven the Hunter will mark Sony’s third attempt to turn one of their catalog of Spider-Man characters into a standalone franchise. While the Venom movies have enjoyed some success amongst fans, this year’s Morbius proved less than popular. Kraven was a big game hunter in the comics, who became desperate to prove himself the world’s greatest hunter, often by hunting down Spider-Man himself. He famously took over as Spider-Man during the renowned storyline “Kraven’s Last Hunt.”

The new set photos that have emerged online show Aaron Taylor-Johnson and a stunt double shooting the upcoming Marvel movie from Sony. Taylor-Johnson is not in Kraven’s iconic comic costume and details of how the garish animal-print outfit will be adapted for screen, or whether it will be featured at all, are yet to be revealed. However, under the open collar of his white shirt, the actor can be seen wearing a necklace bearing an animal tooth, a nod to his comic counterpart’s attire.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson can be seen sporting Kraven’s iconic beard in the images, as well as an impressive physique worthy of the world’s greatest hunter. This will mark Taylor-Johnson’s second foray into the world of Marvel, after previously appearing as Quicksilver in the MCU film Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2014.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is leading the cast of Kraven the Hunter and is joined by Russell Crowe, Fred Hechinger, Ariana DeBose, Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, and Levi Miller.

Kraven the Hunter is currently scheduled to hit theaters on January 13, 2023. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the upcoming movie, Sony’s other Spider-Man projects, and make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
