Mythbusters alumn and Avengers fan Adam Savage built a real Iron Man suit on his new series Savage Builds.
Over ten years ago, the Marvel Cinematic Universe launched with the release of Iron Man and since then, fans have been enamored with the various armored suits Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark developed throughout the years. Now, former Mythbusters star Adam Savage has built a real-life Iron Man suit that can actually fly based on the Marvel Studios design for the outfit.
Partnering with EOS printing and using files from Marvel Studios, Adam Savage and his team created a bulletproof Iron Man suit that actually flies thanks to the assistance of Gravity Industries founder and chief test pilot Richard Browning. While the process of creating this suit is different from how the Avengers hero crafted his armor, Adam Savage noted: “If Tony Stark was not fictional and he was making an Iron Man suit right now, this is precisely how he would do it and this is the exact technology he’d be using.”
