Adam West And Burt Ward Discuss Their Favorite Actors To Work With From The ‘Batman’ TV Series

Adam West and Burt Ward’s 50th Anniversary Farewell Tour made an appearance at this year’s Fan Expo Canada 2016, which was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. This of course included a Q&A portion, where fans got to ask the original TV Batman and Robin whatever they wanted. One fan asked, “Who was your favorite person to work with on the Batman series?”.

West got right to the point and answered the question with little hesitation:

“That’s easy, Catwoman. She gave me curious stirrings in my utility belt.”

That line was a clear reference to the second season (episode 49), Catwoman Goes to College, featuring actress Julie Newmar as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. Newmar was easy on the eyes, and both Batman and Adam West made sure to comment on that fact.

Laughter swept over the crowd at his response, but when everything calmed back down he also added that he enjoyed working with Frank Gorshin aka The Riddler and Burgess Meredith aka The Penguin.

According to Burt Ward, he enjoyed working with the actor Vincent Price aka Egghead, or Edgar Heed. Ward elaborated on his answer:

“One of the actors I really liked working with was Vincent Price. That was fun because Adam and I had a chance to get into a gigantic egg fight. And always as a kid, I got into trouble for throwing eggs, but this time, I got paid for throwing eggs. So that was a lot of fun.”

I wish someone would pay me for throwing eggs.
