The journey of the WandaVision spin-off series revolving around Agatha Harkness seems as mysterious as the character itself. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the much-anticipated series starring Kathryn Hahn has undergone a series of title changes and has now landed on its official title: Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Originally set for a winter 2023 debut, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is now slated to premiere in early fall 2024. This strategic scheduling positions Darkhold Diaries as a perfect precursor to the Halloween festivities.
It’s noteworthy to mention that the series, despite wrapping up filming well before the ongoing Hollywood strikes, saw its initial titles evolve over time. Beginning with Agatha: House of Harkness, the name then transitioned to Agatha: Coven of Chaos before finally transforming to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Who else is attached to the Agatha Harkness series?
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is a spin-off series of WandaVision and revolves around Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness. The show is being developed by Jac Schaefer, who served as head writer and executive producer of WandaVision. Schaefer was also one of the writers behind the hit Marvel films Captain Marvel and Black Widow.
Besides Kathryn Hahn, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries also stars Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp, Emma Caulfield, David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, Kate Forbes, David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman and Kate Forbes.
