‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Actor Says Ghost Rider Might Get Spinoff

Gabriel Luna has only just recently joined Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for its fourth season, but his character Ghost Rider is already pretty popular and a breath of fresh air on the show.

Luna was at New York Comic Con this weekend and he spoke about joining the Marvel family and getting to work on material he grew up with.

Jeph Loeb calls and says, “Welcome to Marvel,” and your life changes. Even for yourself. I love this, I grew up with this. We all have. Especially the young people who have grown up with the films.

When the question came around about whether Ghost Rider would spinoff and get his own show, Luna had this to say.

You know, there’s been rumblings about that. Depends on how much you love it. If you love it, we’ll make it. The response has been overwhelmingly positive.

Luna continued on about how when he first got the job, he stayed off the internet, but how it’s all been worth it.

I stayed off the internet when I got the job, just completely off the internet. Half the people were just stoked that there was gonna be Ghost Rider. The other half are purists. People don’t like change and I understand that. People were worried about there not being a motorcycle… they were worried about these things and there was a lot of unrest early. But I knew what we were doing was worthy.

What do you think? Would you want a Ghost Rider spinoff series?
