‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Bringing Back Recurring Character From Season One; Will Introduce Another Villainous Marvel Group

If you’ve been wondering where a certain character from season one of Marvels Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been, it looks like you’re going to be getting your answer very soon. After a two season absence from the series, Titus Welliver’s ‘Agent Blake’ will be back for this season’s fourteenth episode. The character, who made numerous appearances in the first season and was last seen in “End Of The Beginning” in pretty bad shade, will be back for the upcoming episode titled “Watchdogs”. Check out the synopsis for the episode below.

When a radical group called The Watchdogs emerges with plans to eliminate the Inhumans, Agent Mack and his brother become caught in the crossfire. Meanwhile, Simmons discovers a powerful chemical compound that could alter the future for Inhumans.

Does the episode title possibly sound familiar to you? Well, that might be because this episode will be introducing the villainous organization of the same name from the comics. The Watchdogs in the comics are a right-wing terrorist organization that is dead set on restoring “traditional” America values and going after anyone that doesn’t share these same values. The group originlly was run by The Red Skull at one point.

Could Blake perhaps have some experience with the group? What is this chemical substance that Simmons discovers? You’ll have to wait until the epispode airs on the 29th or if you happen to be attending the series WonderCon panel on the 26th.

Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesday nights on ABC at 9/8c.
