The Umbrella Academy star Aidan Gallagher becomes the Damian Wayne version of Robin in new artwork for The Batman.
Best known for his role as Number Five on Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy, Aidan Gallagher is often fan cast as Robin for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman. Details for The Batman are slim, but with such a huge cast, it wouldn’t be surprising if the next Caped Crusader needed a Robin.
Multiple names have been tossed out for Robin, but Aidan Gallagher of The Umbrella Academy fame is one of the most inspiring pieces of casting we’ve seen. The Umbrella Academy star Aidan Gallagher would make a pretty solid Robin considering that the 16-year-old actor is at the perfect age to play the character right now. Beyond that, Aidan Gallagher does play a superhero in The Umbrella Academy, which means he’s already aware of what it would take to be Robin for The Batman.

This piece of fan art showcases The Umbrella Academy star Aidan Gallagher wearing a darkened, more gritty Robin costume which would perfectly line up with the tone for the more detective-driven The Batman. At this point, it’s uncertain if The Batman will be casting a Robin anytime soon. The Batman is quite stacked but if they’re looking for a Robin, we’re sure that The Umbrella Academy star Aidan Gallagher would be perfect for the role.

Full plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, and Paul Dano as the Riddler.
