Umbrella Academy Star Aidan Gallagher Suits Up As Damian Wayne Robin For The DCEU In New Image

Umbrella Academy actor Aidan Gallagher becomes Damian Wayne and takes on the Robin mantle for the DCEU in this new image.

With Ben Affleck retired from the role of Bruce Wayne, and Robert Pattinson set to take on a new incarnation of the Dark Knight in The Batman, it’s fun to imagine how Warner Bros. could fill the void in the DCEU left behind by Affleck’s Batman. Although Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice showcased what appeared to be Jason Todd’s vandalized  Robin suit, and teased his possible death at the hands of the Joker, Zack Snyder seemed to suggest that may have not actually been the case. Nevertheless, with the studio’s plans for a Nightwing movie featuring Dick Grayson, there are still plenty of other versions of Robin that appear in the DCEU including Tim Drake, Carrie Kelley, and of course, Damian Wayne.

In the comics, Damian Wayne is the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, making him the grandson of the villainous Ra’s Al Ghul. While there have been no rumors of any plans to introduce Damian Wayne or even his grandfather in the DCEU, that’s not enough to stop fans from imagining who could take on the roles of these DC Comics icons. As for who could actually play Damian Wayne himself, it would have been pretty hard to miss Aidan Gallagher’s incredible performance in Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy. Based on the comic book series of the same name, The Umbrella Academy centers on a super-dysfunctional family of superheroes who have eight days to pull themselves together and save the world. The performance from 15-year-old actor Aidan Gallagher was one of the show’s biggest highlights. Aidan Gallagher himself managed to stand out in the mix of its talented cast, which includes Ellen Page, Robert Sheehan, and Cameron Britton.

Digital artist mizuriofficial did a great job imagining what Umbrella Academy star Aidan Gallagher could look like as Damien Wayne for the DCEU and we can’t help but get excited by the possibility. See Aidan Gallagher suited up as Robin in the image below.
