Alessandro Nivola has revealed that he is set to play the Marvel villain Rhino in Sony’s Kraven the Hunter movie starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson. This announcement comes on the heels of Sony’s CinemaCon presentation, which gave attendees a sneak peek at what’s in store for Kraven.
Alessandro Nivola’s Rhino casting is a welcome surprise for Spider-Man fans who are eager to see the classic villain in action once again. Also known as Aleksei Sytsevich, Rhino is a formidable adversary who possesses superhuman strength and endurance, as well as a suit that makes him nearly invulnerable.
Kraven the Hunter marks the second time Rhino has been portrayed in live-action, with Paul Giamatti playing the role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Alessandro Nivola’s take on Rhino is expected to be a much more fleshed-out and developed interpretation of the character.
