Alex Wolff is joining Paramount’s A Quiet Place universe.
Above The Line has revealed that that Alex Wolff is the latest addition to the cast of A Quiet Place: Day One. The casting marks a reunion Wolff and Pig helmer Michael Sarnoski, who is directing Day One for Paramount.
The Quiet Place universe expands
Based on an original idea by John Krasinski, the director behind the first two A Quiet Place movies, Day One was written by Michael Sarnoski and Jeff Nichols, who was originally expected to direct before departing the project over creative differences. Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn lead the cast of the Quiet Place spin-off.
In addition to Pig, Alex Wolff is known for his work in the A24 psychological horror feature Hereditary and the recent Jumanji movies from Sony. He is currently working on Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, a star-studded biopic on J. Robert Oppenheimer, one of the fathers of the atomic bomb.
John Krasinki is producing A Quiet Place: Day One alongside Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, with Allyson Seeger serving as an executive producer. Krasinski is also working on a direct sequel to the second A Quiet Place film. The sequel does not yet have a release date but is expected to arrive sometime in 2025.
