An upcoming trial featuring former Smallville star Allison Mack and top NXIVM sex cult members has been pushed back a month.
Allison Mack is best known for her role as Chloe Sullivan on The CW’s Smallville from 2001-2011, which featured the story of a young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) growing up in his titular hometown. It was first discovered early last year that the former Smallville actress was involved in the NXIVM sex cult. Mack was also allegedly a ring leader of the cult and headed a secret master-slave group within NXIVM called, “DOS.”
In the secret group, Mack reportedly branded women with her and Keith Raniere’s initials, with the women apparently being forced to comply with their assigned masters.
According to the New York Post, a judge has ruled to give the NXIVM members another month to prepare for the upcoming trial. The trial was originally slated for March 18 and will now begin April 29. The date was reportedly changed because multiple sex cult members claimed they didn’t want to stand trial with accused sex traffickers Rainiere and Mack. Clare Bronfman, Lauren Salzman, her mother Nancy Salzman, and Kathy Russell are charged with forced labor conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy, and racketeering.
Both parties are set to return to court on February 6.
