Robert Aramayo has been cast as a lead character in Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings series.

Last year, Maze Runner star Will Poulter was reported to be in negotiations to join the cast of Amazon’s The Lord of The Rings series in a lead role. However, Poulter was late forced to exit Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings series due to scheduling conflicts.

Now, Deadline reports Game of Thrones alum Robert Aramayo has been cast in the lead role previously filled by Will Poulter. According to the outlet, representatives for Amazon and Robert Aramayo declined to comment on the matter.

In addition to his roles in projects such as Behind Her Eyes and The King’s Man, Robert Aramayo is best known for portraying young Ned Stark in multiple episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Robert Aramayo joins a cast that is reported to include Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, and Morfydd Clark.

Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series is being developed by JD Payne and Patrick McKay, who will lead a writer’s room that includes Game of Thrones alum Bryan Cogman. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director J. A. Bayona is set to direct multiple episodes of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series.

Full details on Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series are currently unknown, though it is reported to be before the events of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring during the Second Age of Middle-Earth. The Lord of the Rings series is produced by Amazon Studios in cooperation with the Tolkien Estate and Trust, HarperCollins and New Line Cinema.

Amazon has not announced a released date for the Lord of the Rings series.
