Aquaman star Amber Heard has shared new fan art inspired by her look as Mera in the James Wan-directed DC Comics movie.
After her big screen debut as Mera in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Amber Heard reprised her role as the DC Comics heroine opposite Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry in Aquaman. Together, Aquaman and Mera two went on an epic journey to Atlantis and beyond to recover the Sacred Trident of Atlan, the King of Atlantis prior to the nation’s submergence. In addition to helping Jason Momoa’s Aquaman discover the trident, Amber Heard’s Mera also helped the reluctant hero accept his role as the King of Atlantis and stop his villainous half-brother Orm (played by Patrick Wilson) from starting a war with the surface world.
After enduring a rigorous training schedule for her role in Aquaman, working out four to five times a week, Amber Heard’s hard work paid off as she managed to steal the show with her standout performance as Mera. Naturally, fans have taken to the internet to share their love for Amber Heard with Aquaman-inspired artwork featuring Mera. But this week, Amber Heard took the opportunity to give back to the fans and show some love for their hard work reimagining her as Mera. In a recent Instagram post, Amber Heard praised artist Christine Chang, sharing her Aquaman artwork as she told her fans “Love seeing all the Mera art everyone you’re all so talented!”
