A brand new behind-the-scenes photo from Justice League shows Aquaman star Amber Heard in full costume as Mera.
Just over a year before starring opposite Jason Momoa in 2018’s Aquaman, Amber Heard made her debut as the DC Comics heroine Mera in the first live-action Justice League movie. Now, with Justice League director Zack Snyder and the film’s star sharing new images from the movie, a new behind-the-scenes shot of Amber Heard as Mera has surfaced online.
The behind-the-scenes photo in question was taken by British photographer Savannah Mcmillan and shows Amber Heard’s Mera with the green armor she was seen wearing in her brief Justice League cameo. You can see the Justice League photo featuring Aquaman star Amber Heard as Mera below.
Amber Heard is expected to return as Mera in the next Aquaman movie, which is being written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. James Wan is expected to return to the director’s chair after he completes a horror project for New Line Cinema.
Here is the official synopsis for Justice League:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Amber Heard, Mera and the Aquaman sequel!
