In August, it was confirmed that a Man of Steel sequel was in development. It was put on pause in order for Warner Bros. to go ahead with the Batman v. Superman movie and for a while, there was some speculation about whether a Man of Steel sequel was ever going to see the light of day.
While doing a press tour for her newest movie, Arrival, out November 11, Amy Adams also confirmed that yes, a sequel was on the way. Although what she knows about it is very minimal.
“I read about Man of Steel 2 when you guys did. A lot of times I find out after the fact, which is fine, it’s completely normal, it’s not indicative of anything. But yeah, I know they’re working on a script and I know it’s in the works.”
Adams appeared in Batman v. Superman, reprising her role as intrepid reporter Lois Lane. However, she wasn’t in the film for very long and her development and relationship with Henry Cavill’s Superman wasn’t really expanded on past the little we were given.
There’s no word yet on when the Man of Steel sequel will go into production or even if there’ll be a name change. Until we get more information, we know that Adams will be back for the film and we can only hope that Lois Lane has a big role to play.
