Andrew Garfield Says ‘Never Say Never’ On Spider-Man Return In ‘No Way Home’

Do you still buy it?

Andrew Garfield once again addressed the rumors of him returning as Spider-Man in Tom Holland’s No Way Home by saying “never say never.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home is finished filming, and there’s still radio silence from Sony and Marvel Studios on whether or not Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will return in the film. Garfield is currently on the press tour for Mainstream, which means he’s getting bombarded with Spider-Man questions.

On Tuesday, Andrew Garfield claimed he never got the call for Spider-Man: No Way Home and that it’s just a game of werewolf. In a recent interview with Access, Garfield now had this to say:

“I’ve heard all the rumors of everything and to be frank, I think it’s a really cool idea. But as a fan, just as a pure fan, it’s a really cool idea. But yeah, as I’ve said previously, it’s not something that… I hate being given the responsibility of disappointing people. It’s not something that I’ve been asked about or anything like that. But you know, never say never.”

Tom Holland’s Peter Parker was last seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Here is the official synopsis for the movie:

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks is quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks. Spider-Man and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) join forces to fight the havoc unleashed across the continent but all is not as it seems.

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, J.B. Smoove, Oli Hill, Remy Hii, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
