Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in the upcoming Marvel Studios epic The Eternals.

The Eternals is one of the only films that the general public knows is coming from Phase Four of Marvel Studios’ cinematic slate. Now, it seems the film is rounding out its cast with the announcement that Angelina Jolie is in talks to join The Eternals. According to THR, Angelina Jolie will make her MCU debut in The Eternals.

The role is currently unknown.

Marvel Studios has tapped Chloe Zhao is to direct the project from a script written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. The duo is best known for their spec script Ruin which managed to reach the top of the 2017 Black List.

Production on all of Marvel’s 2019 films including Captain MarvelAvengers 4, and Spider-Man: Far From Home has been completed. Other known future projects from the studio include the Black Widow standalone film starring Scarlet Johannson, which has been written by Jac Schaeffer, and the Black Panther sequel that Ryan Coogler is returning to direct as well as write. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was originally set to begin production in early 2019 but was put on hold after James Gunn was removed from the franchise.
