On July 4th, Anthony Mackie celebrated Independence Day by sharing a never-before-seen image of himself as Sam Wilson in the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World. The photo, posted to Mackie’s official Instagram page, shows him suited up as Captain America, complete with the iconic shield, while on set. The caption read, “Happy Birthday America! Have a great 4th, see you soon…,” along with a Captain America hashtag and a Marvel Studios tag.
This image marks Mackie’s continuation as Captain America, a role he took on after the events of Avengers: Endgame and the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It’s a nod to his character’s evolution and his significance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
