See Anthony Mackie Don Captain America Suit To Replace Chris Evans

Anthony Mackie suits up as Captain America to replace Chris Evans in a stunning new concept design for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.

Although fans won’t get to see Anthony Mackie reprise his role as Sam Wilson until 2021, a fan-made image shows the actor wearing a detailed Captain America costume to replace Chris Evans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As comic fans will already know, when Wilson replaces Steve Rogers as Captain America, he dons an impressive red, white and blue version of his usual Falcon outfit. Hopefully when The Falcon and The Winter Soldier eventually debuts on Disney Plus, we’ll see the costume come to life.

The concept from digital artist “houseofmat” on Instagram imagines Anthony Mackie as Captain America, using Chris Evans’ costume from The Winter Soldier as the inspiration for the design. It also takes its cues from Civil War II #10 to fill out the rest of the image. Although we don’t know what Mackie’s costume will look like, a toy teased that it’ll obviously keep a few of the most iconic design elements. You can see Anthony Mackie replacing Chris Evans as Captain America below.

What do you make of the artwork? Do you think the series will end with Anthony Mackie as Captain America in this costume? Would you like to see Chris Evans return as Steve Rogers in the future? Share your thoughts in the comments!
