Since the end of Avengers: Endgame, fans have been waiting to see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan’s return for the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. At Disney’s D23 Expo, Marvel Studios revealed the first official poster for the upcoming series, featuring Anthony Mackie And Sebastian Stan.
This new poster gives Marvel fans a hint at the type of energy and passion that Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are looking to bring to their titular roles as The Falcon and The Winter Soldier respectively, and they certainly look driven to do right for their old friend Steve Rogers.

Now that Captain America/Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans) has officially retired after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the shield has been passed down to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/The Falcon and now he must deal with the responsibilities of being a hero alongside Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. The Winter Soldier.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be the first official television series in the MCU canon as part of the franchise’s Phase 4 slate. In a post-Endgame world, the studio looks to expand the canon of its universe by exploring new opportunities to develop their characters in the ever-expanding series that holds the distinction as the highest-grossing franchise in cinematic history.
Following The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios will also release new series like WandaVision, Loki, What If…? and Hawkeye. All these series will be available to stream exclusively on Disney Plus.
Kari Skoglan is reportedly directing all six episodes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier from scripts penned by Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad. The series stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Brühl and Emily VanCamp, with a scheduled Fall 2020 release on the Disney Plus streaming service.
