Anthony Mackie’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series can officially resume production in the Czech Republic.
Earlier this year, Disney and Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was forced to halt production due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. At the time, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was knee-deep into production in Prague, with Sebastian Stan recently saying that there were “at least two or three” more weeks of filming left on the Disney Plus series.
Now, Deadline reports that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier can resume filming in the Czech Republic. According to the trade, a press release from the Czech Film Commission reveals that major film and TV productions will be allowed to continue filming in the country in mid-May.
Amazon’s Carnival Row and Netflix’s 473 Transatlantic are already preparing to start filming again in the Czech Republic, but there’s no word regarding when The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will recommence production. The foreign actors and crew members of these shows will have to undergo several COVID-19 tests to reduce the possibility of infection during their stay in the country.
Here is the official synopsis for the Marvel Studios series:
Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”
