Anthony Mackie Shares ‘Falcon And The Winter Soldier’ Cast Photo With Wyatt Russell

Avengers: Endgame actor Anthony Mackie welcomes Wyatt Russell to the cast of the Disney Plus series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier with a hilarious photo.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie welcomed Wyatt Russell to the series with the rest of the main cast members. It’s interesting that Wyatt Russell is the second actor in his family to have a role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as his father Kurt Russell played Ego the Living Planet in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. The upcoming series will be set after the events of Avengers: Endgame where Anthony Mackie’s Falcon took on the Captain America mantle from an older Steve Rogers. Wyatt Russell recently joined the cast as John Walker, a.k.a. U.S. Agent.

Anthony Mackie posted the Falcon and The Winter Soldier cast photo on his Twitter page, with some brilliantly goofy facial expressions to welcome Wyatt Russell with his co-stars Sebastian Stan and Emily VanCamp. In addition to Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent, Falcon and The Winter Soldier will also have to contend with Daniel Bruhl’s Baron Zemo in his return from Captain America: Civil War. No doubt he’ll be manipulating this situation to a villainous end. You can check out Anthony Mackie’s photo below.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is currently set to be first of these Marvel Studios series to debut on Disney Plus. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the series is rumored to center on Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as the former finds himself facing resistance from the United States government and its opposition to him taking on the Captain America mantle.

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will debut on Disney Plus in 2020. Stay tuned for the latest news on the highly-anticipated series with Anthony Mackie and Wyatt Russell.
