‘Aquaman’ Swimming Towards $80 Million Debut Over Holiday Weekend

Deadline reports that Aquaman is expected to debut with $80 million over the holiday weekend, according to tracking.

Over the five-day run from Friday to Christmas Tuesday, Warner Bros. and DC’s Aquaman is on track to gross $80 million, with $65 million of that intake coming from the first three days. According to the trade, rival studios are expecting the King of Atlantis’ standalone film to “leg the holiday out.”

Between 65%-70%  of the paid tickets for the December 15 Amazon Prime preview of Aquaman at major theater chains have reportedly already been sold. Furthermore, Aquaman is currently holding strong with men and women in unaided awareness.

Aquaman will be released in theaters on December 21, 2018.
