New ‘Aquaman’ Image Shows Willem Dafoe’s Vulko Riding An Armored Shark

A brand new image from Aquaman has been released and it features Willem Dafoe’s Vulko preparing for battle atop an awesome underwater creature.

Willem Dafoe was originally supposed to debut his character Vulko in 2017’s Justice League but, along with many aspects of the film, Vulko never made it into the final cutNow, the character will be making his debut in Aquaman this December. Although Dafoe’s character hasn’t had much screentime in the trailers or even in official images, the latest photo from the film offers fans an awesome look at the character and his underwater ally.

The trailers for Aquaman have given fans plenty of footage featuring armor-clad underwater sea creatures. The  action in this movie is unlike anything that has appeared in the DC Extended Universe before and now fans can get a closer look at Vulko’s own underwater battle steed, an armored hammerhead shark. Aquaman is the first entry in the DCEU since Justice League and if the trailers are any indication, the film will take the franchise in a whole new direction. The vibrant colors and the fantastic underwater world of the film are gearing up DC’s latest to be one of the most anticipated films this Christmas, which is already pretty stacked with comic book films. The film opens against The Deadpool Before Christmas and a week before either of those hit theaters, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse swings into theaters.
