A Tide Is Coming In New Banner For James Wan’s ‘Aquaman’

James Wan Aquaman Jason Momoa Amber HeardIf there’s one thing that James Wan has managed to do with what we’ve seen of the upcoming Aquaman film so far between images and trailers, it’s show off the wonderful and vibrant life under the sea that we got a taste of between Arthur Curry’s appearances in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and his scene with Mera in Justice League. Now we’re spending more time there in the film when it hits theaters this December, but now there’s a new banner to help shore up more enthusiasm for the next DC film. And no, I’m not stopping with the water puns anytime soon.

One parallel that some have noticed with Aquaman and Mera’s quest for the trident has been that the Trident of Neptune has similarities to Excalibur, which director Zack Snyder referenced in the flashback of the Wayne murders in the opening of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And building off of James Wan sharing the poster of Arthur wielding the trident as his hand rises from the water while in the classic Aquaman outfit. Now a banner has been unveiled with that same pose along with the film’s release date, which you can see in the Reddit post below:

And between the film’s box office prospects and moviegoers interest at seeing Aquaman receive a solo adventure, the film and continued posters and images are sure to shore up and reel in a good amount at the box office when the film swims into theaters in a little under two months. Given what we’ve seen from Aquaman so far, what is your level of interest in the movie so far? And what more, if at all, would you want to see director James Wan tease just ahead of the film’s release? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more Aquaman updates.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman.

The film will swim into theaters on December 21, 2018.
