‘Aquaman’ Star Jason Momoa Declares Will Arnett The Best Batman

batman aquamanJust like the James Bond debate, everyone has their favorite Batman actor. Whether it’s the camp of Adam West, the aw-shucks-Mr.-Mom-ing of Michael Keaton, or the violent chain smoker voice of Christian Bale, we all have one that stands above the rest (I’ve gotta go Keaton. Gimme a break, I was born in ’88). Which was why it turned heads to learn that Jason Momoa, Aquaman in the current DC Extended Universe franchise, told the audience at a panel at CinemaCon that his favorite version was Will Arnett, star of The LEGO Batman Movie.

To be fair, Arnett was on stage with Momoa as the moderator of the panel, so it could have been simply in good fun. Momoa turned to Arnett and said, “You’re the best BLEEP-ing Batman.”

LEGO Batman, a quasi-sequel to 2014’s The LEGO Movie, met wide praise as it managed to be both a heartwarming comedy and still a faithful adaptation of the source material. Will Arnett brought the character to life through his characteristically deep and raspy voice.

What about the Batfleck’s thoughts on this, you ask? Cue up some Simon and Garfunkel again.

Momoa has starred alongside Ben Affleck’s Batman in two DCEU films – though they did not have any scenes together in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice – and he has had nothing but praise for Affleck’s take on the character.

As rumors still marinate on whether Ben Affleck will hang up the cowl, the world has plenty of opinions on who would be best to step into the Caped Crusader’s boots. Though now we know where Momoa stands on the subject.

Also I’m pretty sure we all rank George Clooney dead last. Right?

Momoa will be next seen playing the King of the Seven Seas in the upcoming ‘Aquaman’ solo film, currently slated to hit theaters on December 21, 2018, in the US. Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius/Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.

9 Times Joker Fought The Justice League And Won

Previous1 of 10

The Joker Justice League DC ComicsThe Joker is more than just a thorn in Batman’s side. The Clown Prince of Crime has taken on various members of the Justice League and lived to laugh another day. His dastardly plots are dangerous for everyone, and sometime he wants to take on an opponent who doesn’t know him as well as Batman does. Out of the entire superhero community, Batman clearly knows Joker best, so it makes sense that sometimes he wants to stretch his creative muscles and try and take down other heroes.

The character may physically just be a human being, but he still poses a threat to god-like figures like Superman and Wonder Woman. He may hurt his hand if he directly punches the last son of Krypton, but that doesn’t mean he can’t hurt him just as easily as he can anyone else. No matter how confusing he may be, Joker’s an intelligent, ruthless villain who happily picks on anybody he wants.
