Aquaman star Jason Momoa was body-shamed by people on the internet over recent pictures taken while he was on vacation with his family.
Photos surfaced on Tuesday with Aquaman star Jason Momoa shirtless on a beach while he was on vacation. Jason Momoa faced body-shaming from some on the internet because he was not sporting a six pack, with some saying he had a “dad bod.” It is no secret that one of the hardest parts of portraying a superhero is obtaining the physique of what one would look like in real life. Actors and actresses go through months of training to bring comic book characters to life, but a body can only be maintained that way for so long.
Jason Momoa is set to appear in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, which is currently filming, but Aquaman 2 won’t start filming for a bit. So, it is no surprise that Jason Momoa isn’t in Aquaman shape at the moment and many took to the internet to defend him:
Accurate. Movie body, specifically "superhero movie body" is indeed a thing. No actor can sustain the superhero body long term. Every single one of them have lost their gains long after production wraps because it is simply not sustainable. https://t.co/FfeAbgf8ir

Even IFBB professional physique competitors who compete in Men's Classic/Men's Physique gorge and rebound the second they step off the stage from judging.

6 months of excruciating hard core dieting compounded by a 6 month rigorous production schedule, Momoa can dad bod all he wants because he earned the absolute right to do so. He'll get back in shape come Aquaman .

Momoa's body fat looks to be in the mid teens so he can easily get back in Arthur shape in 8-16 weeks tops.

Even the most sliced and shredded bros I know at Gold's Venice maintain that condition for only 3-6 months out of the year because again, it is not sustainable.
