‘Aquaman’: New Image Released Plus Patrick Wilson On King Orm & His Tylosaur

Aquaman Patrick Wilson

Aquaman star Patrick Wilson has given his take on how he views his villainous character King Orm in James Wan’s upcoming swash-buckling action adventure centered on the King of Atlantis.

Aquaman follows Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry as he goes up against both his half-brother Orm  — who is ready to wage a war on the surface world — while on a journey to accepting his role as the King of Atlantis. Recently, we got a look at Wilson riding on top of his armored Tylosaur. Speaking with USA Today, Wilson dished on his Tylosaur, “which is a prehistoric crocodile,”  but on set “you’re basically riding on a mechanical bull.”

Wilson also spoke on Jason Momoa’s Aquaman which he described as “really easygoing and the life of the party and dead set on not being a leader at the beginning.” But Wilson described his approach to playing Ocean Master, explaining:

“I just want to act as a foil to that: Somebody who probably takes themselves a little too seriously and has a very large shell around them and rules with an iron fist.”

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Aquaman will be released in US theaters on December 21, 2018.
