New ‘Aquaman’ Promo Art Spotlights Mera & Black Manta

Aquaman DC ComicsIn a recent post, a new round of promo art for the upcoming Aquaman film was shared, spotlighting  the titular hero, Mera and Black Manta.

The new promotional art contained three separate images in the post. The first showed Aquaman posing heroically in the center of the image with Mera to the right, a number of divers to the left and Black Manta looming over top. The second is a stylized painting of the character with creatures surrounding him and his trident above him. The final image shows additional images of Aquaman, Mera and Black Manta in various heroic and threatening poses.

Here is a plot synopsis for the upcoming film:

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.

Aquaman will be released in theaters on December 21, 2018.

    Man that costume looks FRESH. I love the fact tgey ate actually embracing the comic elements and making it work as opposed to darkening it up. If ONLY they could apply this to Cavill’s Superman. Look at how he looks in the Bendis written books drawn by Ivan Reis. THAT’S the vidual style the Superman movies should follow.
