‘Aquaman’ Movie Runtime Officially Confirmed

After several months of rumors and speculation, the official runtime for James Wan’s Aquaman has been confirmed and it is the fourth-longest DC Extended Universe film to date.

Heroic Hollywood has learned that Aquaman clocks in at 139 minutes despite previous rumors stating the film would be around 140 to 143 minutes. This revelation may come as a surprise to fans anticipating a slightly longer duration for the underwater adventure starring Jason Momoa and Amber Heard.

The runtime of Aquaman places it in the middle among the films of the DCEU. Batman v Superman‘s theatrical cut, spanning 151 minutes, stands as the longest DCEU movie thus far, while Justice League holds the shortest runtime at 120 minutes. Aquaman‘s duration falls closely in line with Wonder Woman and Man of Steel, clocking in at 141 and 143 minutes respectively.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.

Aquaman will be released in theaters on December 21, 2018.
