Armie Hammer has been heavily requested by fans to join the DCEU for quite some time, even before the franchise launched in 2013 with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Armie Hammer was set to play Batman for George Miller’s planned Justice League: Mortal film that eventually got cancelled at Warner Brothers.
Ryan Reynolds portrayed Hal Jordan in 2011’s Green Lantern, which was panned by both critics and audiences. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for a reboot, with Warner Bros. previously announcing a Green Lantern Corps movie for the DCEU, which would feature Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Former DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns is writing and producing the project.
While no new plans regarding Green Lantern Corps have been announced as of late, fans are still holding out hope that Armie Hammer could play Hal Jordan in that film and perhaps fight alongside the likes of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Zachary Levi’s Shazam and perhaps Robert Pattinson’s Batman in the future.
