Call Me by Your Name star Armie Hammer becomes Green Lantern for the DCEU in this awesome artwork that imagines the future of the cinematic franchise.
Armie Hammer, a common fan-favorite to join the DCEU whether it is as Green Lantern or other comic book characters, has been subject to many different types of fan art using his likeness to fit the bill of any beloved superhero. In this case, we see how Armie Hammer could look like as Green Lantern in the DCEU thanks to a digital artist known as “artoftimetravel” on Instagram.
Check out the artwork of Armie Hammer as the DCEU’s Green Lantern below.
Armie Hammer has been heavily requested by fans to join the DCEU for quite some time, even before the franchise launched in 2013 with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Armie Hammer was set to play Batman for George Miller’s planned Justice League: Mortal film that eventually got cancelled at Warner Brothers.
Ryan Reynolds portrayed Hal Jordan in 2011’s Green Lantern, which was panned by both critics and audiences. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for a reboot, with Warner Bros. previously announcing a Green Lantern Corps movie for the DCEU, which would feature Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Former DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns is writing and producing the project.
While no new plans regarding Green Lantern Corps have been announced as of late, fans are still holding out hope that Armie Hammer could play Hal Jordan in that film and perhaps fight alongside the likes of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Zachary Levi’s Shazam and perhaps Robert Pattinson’s Batman in the future.
