The Wrap reports Sweetbitter star Ella Purnell is joining Dave Bautista in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead.

Fifteen years after directing 2014’s Dawn of the Dead remake, Zack Snyder is set to helm another film that takes place during a zombie apocalypse titled Army of the Dead. The film, which is one of the first projects Zack Snyder took on with his company, The Stone Quarry, since exiting DC’s Justice League, stars Dave Bautista of Guardians of the Galaxy fame and now Ella Pureness will join the cast as the daughter of Bautista’s character. Ella Purnell’s previous credits include Kick-Ass 2Maleficent, and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

In addition to Purnell, Ana De La Reguera (Everything, Everything, Goliath), Theo Rossi (Luke Cage, Sons of Anarchy) and Huma Qureshi (Gangs of Wasseypur) have also boarded the project in undisclosed roles.

Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead is just one of the many projects Dave Bautista has lined up, which include Denis Villeneuve’s remake of Dune and James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Directed by Zack Snyder from a script he co-wrote with Shay Hatten (Joby Harold wrote the original screenplay), Army of the Dead stars Dave Bautista and Ella Purnell. Deborah Snyder in on board as a producer alongside Wesley Coller.

Army of the Dead will be released on Netflix in 2020.
