‘Arrow’: Ben Lewis Set For Season Long Arc As Oliver’s Adult Son

Deadline reports Ben Lewis is set for an arc spanning the new season of Arrow which premiered Monday night.

Lewis was revealed in the seventh season’s premiere episode as the adult version of Oliver’s son William Clayton in a flash-forward featuring Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper on Lian Yu set two decades in the future. Following the end of the series’ flashbacks after the fifth season, the new season will continue to utilize flash-forwards in its storytelling as the series continues to add new depth and mysteries to the show.

The new season finds Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) serving time in prison for his crimes as Green Arrow. In addition to featuring the return of Colton Haynes as a series regular, reprising his role as Roy Harper aka Arsenal, the seventh season will also feature the long-awaited introduction of The Longbow Hunters.

Arrow Season 7 continues next week. Here’s the official synopsis for episode 7×02 of Arrow entitled “The Longbow Hunters”:

“Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is determined to find Diaz at any cost. In order to track down Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) from inside prison, Oliver realizes that will require aligning with an old enemy. Meanwhile, in Star City, Felicity’s attempts to root out Diaz are thwarted by Diggle (David Ramsey), whose allegiance to ARGUS now requires him to keep civilians like her on the outs. Realizing that she can no longer rely on her old team or old methods, a clear-eyed Felicity resolves to find a new way to go after Diaz.”

Arrow stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum, Rick Gonzalez, Juliana Harkavy, Katie Cassidy, Colton Haynes, and Kirk Acevedo.
