What do you guys think of Haynes’ tweets? Could he be in the running for the Nightwing movie or do you think he just knows something about Nightwing that we don’t? Sound off in the comments section below.
Nightwing director Chris McKay recently launched a poll asking fans for advice on casting the title character. Among the many DC Extended Universe projects currently being developed is a standalone Nightwing film, with The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay set to helm the movie. Now, McKay has launched a poll seeking advice from fans on casting the titular DC Comics hero, asking what is the most important quality they would look for in an actor.
Plot details for Nightwing are still under wraps but it’s expected to follow Dick Grayson after his years of fighting crime as Robin alongside Batman, who took him in following the death of his parents, The Flying Graysons who were murdered at the circus. McKay has previously expressed that whoever is going to play the role of Dick Grayson is going to have to share that same level of passion he has in order to achieve the necessary performance to bring the character to life.
McKay is directing the Nightwing film from a script written by Bill Dubuque (The Accountant). Nightwing does not currently have a release date, but stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the project and all DC films!
