‘Arrow’ Showrunner Teases Upcoming Season Seven Episode

Arrow, the hit CW show based on the popular DC Comics, is currently enjoying its seventh season. Beth Schwartz, the showrunner and executive producer of Arrow, recently teased an upcoming episode.

Via her Twitter account, Beth Schwartz posted an image of a CW script. If you look closely, you can see that the episode is number 716 and it titled Star City 2040. James Bamford looks to be the director of the upcoming episode.

As CW fans already know, the beginning of season seven teased the unfortunate death of the fan-favorite character and computer whiz Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Viewers learn early on that Felicity has taken on her late father’s alias “The Codebreaker.” Could this be the fateful episode we were long warned about?

Star City 2040 is the upcoming sixteenth episode of the seventh season of Arrow and the one-hundred-fifty-fourth episode overall. Here is the episode’s synopsis:

When a malfunction sends the Waverider crashing into 2046 Star City, our heroes face a startling version of their own future where they never stop Savage and never return home. The city is in ruins and overrun by criminals, which thrills Rory. Sara is despondent over the destruction of her home and stunned when she learns what happened to her old friend, Oliver Queen.

Arrow stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Katie Cassidy, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, Rick Gonzalez, and Colton Haynes.
