‘Arrow’s Echo Kellum Talks Possible Mr. Terrific Costume In Season 5

Arrow Mr Terrific

One of the new characters that Arrow introduced in Season 4 was the gift that was Curtis Holt, played by the terrific Echo Kellum, whose character is based on DC Comics’ Michael Holt a.k.a. Mr. Terrific. There have been hints and nods towards Curtis taking on the Mr. Terrific persona and now that he is a series regular on the series, we might be getting closer to that comic book destiny. In a recent interview with Movie Fone, Kellum expressed his hopes to see Curtis finally suit up with the Green Arrow.

“Yes, yes. Second that! Where is my costume? Guggenheim, if you’re listening, or reading, whatever: Where’s my costume? No, I definitely want to suit up really bad. But I understand. It’s this arc. You’ve got to build up to it. But I definitely hope — and I believe, hopefully, within this season we should see Curtis Holt get there in some capacity. So I’m really looking forward to all that’s happening.”

“After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), former police captain Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), and brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum). But sinister players with a connection to Oliver’s past will push the team to its breaking point, threatening everything Oliver’s worked for and his legacy as the Green Arrow. Based on the characters from DC, ARROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“The Flash,” “Supergirl”), Marc Guggenheim (“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Eli Stone”) Andrew Kreisberg (“The Flash,” “Eli Stone,” “Warehouse 13”), Wendy Mericle (“Desperate Housewives”) and Sarah Schechter (“The Flash,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”).”

Arrow Season 5 is set to premiere on Wednesday, October 5 at 8/7c on The CW

Curtis doesn’t seem to be superhero material.

    • He’s charismatic and showed some physical chops when he slid from one building to another (or something) in that one episode. If he gains powers, I’ll enjoy seeing him as Mr. Terrific.

Mr. Terrific doesn’t have powers. He’s an Olympic level athlete, which was mentioned more than once on the show.

        • Oh, I’ve only really seen him in the background of other stories in the comics and maybe JLU. Yeah, I guess all the DNA for the character to become a superhero (other than being so docile) is there already. And the inventor angle would help him power-up a bit for the show if needed.
