Arrow Star On Emily Bett Rickards’ Exit: ‘No One Really Wants’ To Make That Show

Arrow Emily Bett Rickards

Arrow star David Ramsey discussed how much the cast misses former co-star Emily Bett Rickards during an interview with Digital Spy.

The eighth and final season of Arrow is set to air next fall, but the story will continue without longtime series regular Emily Bett Rickards, who departed the show after seven years of portraying Felicity Smoak. While discussing the absence of Emily Bett Rickards, actor David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle, stated “no one really wants” to make the show without her but added that he’s excited by what the producers have planned for the conclusion of Arrow:

“We go back and Emily’s not a part of it. That’s a big thing. Y’know, no one really wants to do that show. [But] Stephen [Amell] and I both had conversations with the producers, telling us exactly what they want to do with the next season and it really is… it’s exciting.”
