Arrow actress Juliana Harkavy has opened up on how Team Arrow will deal without a leader now that Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) has been taken captive by the fifth season’s big bad Prometheus (Josh Segarra).
The twist came towards the end of last night’s episode when Talia Al Ghul (Lexa Doig) took Oliver down with a tranquilizer arrow as he was facing off against Prometheus. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) quickly went to work at Helix to try and track down Oliver’s whereabouts but in the meantime, the recruits of the newly formed Team Arrow 2.0 will have to manage without a leader for the first time.
In a chat with Entertainment Weekly’s Superhero Insider, Harkavy said the challenging circumstances will bring out the individual strengths of the new recruits:
“To a large extent, they’re still trying to figure that out themselves,” Juliana Harkavy told EW on our SiriusXM radio show Superhero Insider. “They want to know, amongst themselves, who the leader is. They try their different shots at establishing who that is. They each have their own individual strengths, so that’s really when you’re going to see those strengths come out is when Oliver is gone, because we just have to rely on ourselves and on each other.”
Arrow continues next week with the episode “Breaking Point”. Here’s the official synopsis:
