A theory on Reddit claims to have figured out the secret regarding Emiko Queen (Sea Shimooka) in the cryptic promo for the upcoming Arrow midseason premiere.
Arrow has been one of DC’s longest running and most successful shows on television for a reason. The series has enthralled fans with great, complex characters and well-done storytelling for seven seasons on The CW. The show has been on the air for almost a decade and the latest mid-season trailer shows us Emiko Queen dawning the hood of the Green Arrow in search of her own justice.
Reddit user u/QuarryTheMachinr posted two theories that could help shed some light as to what kind of justice Emiko Queen is in search of and a possible connection to lead protagonist Oliver Queen. Check out the theories in the post below.
In the promo for the episode upcoming midseason premiere, titled Shattered Lives, Emiko starts off by saying:
“Innocent people die while the guilty go free”
The theory states that it is possible that she’s talking about her mother’s killer. As for tie-ins to Oliver, her killer could have been sitting right beside him in prison. His prison mate Stanley has admitted to being a murderer, but not much detail is given as to who hisvictims were.
In the comic books, Emiko Queen is Oliver’s half-sister on his father’s side. This Reddit theory points out that during Akio and Queen’s visit to Mei Fei’s home, we see a family photo of her twin sister Shado, herself and their father Giao Fei, but we are never shown their mother. The timeline could be a bit messy, but it’s possible there’s a reason why Oliver ended up there other than mere coincidence.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Arrow season seven as soon as more information becomes available. What’s your opinion on the theory regarding Emiko Queen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
