Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim teased a picture of what appears to be a familiar mask ahead of the upcoming Arrowverse superhero crossover on The CW.

Guggenheim noted that the mask will be part of the Legends of Tomorrow segment of the Arrowverse crossover in his Tweet, which you can view along with the picture below:

Fans have noticed that the mask appears to be very similar to the one worn by the original Sandman character. Sandman, also known as Wesley Dodds, debuted in 1939 as a crime-fighting but highly intelligent noir hero. He has also been a member of the Justice Society of America, which of course has been featured in DCโ€™sย Legends of Tomorrow.

DCโ€™s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heatwave, Franz Drameh as Jefferson โ€œJaxโ€ Jackson/Firestorm, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein, Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel and Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen. Here’s the snyopsis for the Arrowverse series:

โ€œAfter the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms โ€“ a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband โ€“ until Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time travelling heroics, Sara (Caity Lotz) wastes no time in getting the Legends back together. We reunite with billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), the unconventional historian-turned-superhero Nick Heywood (Nick Zano), and Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jefferson โ€œJaxโ€ Jackson (Franz Drameh), who together form the meta-human Firestorm. Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureauโ€™s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureauโ€™s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.โ€

This year, the big Arrowverse crossover will start on Monday, Nov. 27, with theย Supergirlย andย Arrowย segments, followed byย The Flashย and DCโ€™sย Legends of Tomorrowย segments onย Tuesday, Nov. 28.
