Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim teased a picture of what appears to be a familiar mask ahead of the upcoming DC superhero crossover on The CW.
Guggenheim noted that the mask will be part of the Legends of Tomorrow segment of the crossover in his Tweet, which you can view along with the picture below:

Fans have noticed that the mask appears to be very similar to the one worn by the original Sandman character. Sandman, also known as Wesley Dodds, debuted in 1939 as a crime-fighting but highly intelligent noir hero. He has also been a member of the Justice Society of America, which of course has been featured in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heatwave, Franz Drameh as Jefferson “Jax” Jackson/Firestorm, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein, Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel and Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen.
“After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband – until Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time travelling heroics, Sara (Caity Lotz) wastes no time in getting the Legends back together. We reunite with billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), the unconventional historian-turned-superhero Nick Heywood (Nick Zano), and Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh), who together form the meta-human Firestorm. Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.”
This year, the big Arrowverse crossover will start on Monday, Nov. 27, with the Supergirl and Arrow segments, followed by The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow segments on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
10 Heroes We Want To See In ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 3
**This article contains spoilers for the Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 finale.**
The Season 2 Finale for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (check out my review if you haven’t already) certainly left things off on an interesting note. But now’s the time to look to the future. It’s time to look ahead to Season 3.
Legends showrunner Phil Klemmer recently teased new characters appearing in Season 3. That’s what’s great about this type of show is the ability to regularly swap team members in and out. It helps keep the show fresh. As Klemmer puts it, in this show, “the only thing that has to remain is the Waverider.” The DC universe is packed with awesome characters that would be perfect for an appearance in Legends and this show provides the unique opportunity to introduce DC superheroes and villains from any place and any time. Whether it be the past, as was the case with recurring characters like Jonah Hex or the Justice Society of America, or the future, as we saw with Connor Hawke in Season 1, this show can make it work. So, we thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the characters that could possibly appear on Legends of Tomorrow Season 3.
First, though, a couple of disclaimers. Some of these characters are more likely to actually appear on the show than others, but all of them could work with a little creative writing. Some of these people might have appeared in the Arrowverse before, but not on Legends of Tomorrow (for the most part). Some might make more sense in a one-off appearance while some could work as potential new season-long team members. Finally, I didn’t include any of the characters that are already appearing in the DCEU films.
So, without further adieu, here are the 10 heroes we want to see in Legends of Tomorrow Season 3. Hit the next button below to begin!
