James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water has a massive budget.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Avatar: The Way of Water‘s budget is in “the $350 million to $400 million range,” making it one of the most expensive Hollywood productions of all time. The figure doesn’t include marketing costs.

Early tracking numbers for Avatar: The Way of Water are pointing towards a great opening weekend for the movie. It’s currently on track to earn somewhere between $150 million to $170 million when it opens in theaters this December.

Earlier this week, Avatar: The Way of Water secured a release date in China. The movie is currently slated to open in the Middle Kingdom on December 16th, the same day as its global release.

In more Pandora-related news, Avatar: The Way of Water has received a PG-13 rating by the Motion Picture Association Of America. The rating is a result of “sequences of strong violence and intense action, partial nudity and some strong language.”

The final trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water made its debut on Sunday night, announcing that tickets for the movie are now on sale. The Way of Water is one of James Cameron‘s longest movies to date, clocking in at around 3 hours and 10 minutes.

What is Avatar: The Way of Water about?
