Could This Character Be Returning For ‘Avengers 4?’

Avengers Infinity War Marvel

Alright, time to put on the speculation hat and make some stretches worthy of Reed Richards himself. Joe Russo, one half of the directing-duo between Avengers 4 and Avengers: Infinity War, recently gathered- assembled, if you will- many of his friends, companions, patriots, and everyone in-between at a restaurant that he co-owns.

This include the like of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, but not just the Marvel Studios crowd. Among those gathered is Yvette Nicole Brown from Community, which the Russo Brothers directed several episodes of, but the focus of this is that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is also present.

Korg made an instant connection with many moviegoers in Thor: Ragnarok, and while some would no doubt hope that he makes a return in Avengers 4, keep in mind that Taika Waititi already has his hands full as he’s currently shooting Jojo Rabbit. There’s no indication that Waititi’s presence means that Korg will appear in Avengers 4. After all, again, you see Yvette Nicole Brown there, and unless indicated otherwise, she’s also not in the next Avengers film.

So while it would be easy to speculate that Korg will appear based on Waititi being there, it’s also entirely possible that he’s there to support his fellow Marvel Studios director as Russo embarks on another venture. Plus, like with Avengers: Infinity War, the Russos did collaborate with other directors like Waititi, Ryan Coogler, and James Gunn when it came to handling characters established in previous films. This could be no exception to that.

What do you ultimately think? It’s very easy to get wrapped up in photos and start speculating that this person will appear in that movie or otherwise. Let us know your thoughts? Is there anything worth taking from this? And if there is, would you want to see Korg appear in Avengers 4? Let us know in the comments below.
