The latest look at merchandise from Avengers 4 reveals that some of the surviving heroes from this year’s Avengers: Infinity War will have to go up against an even greater villain this time around.

Thanos (Josh Brolin) was a character built up over six years and when he finally became the main antagonist, or protagonist depending on who you ask, his power and ability to bring utter destruction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe shocked fans around the world. Even fans of the comics were thrown off by the MCU interpretation of the iconic Marvel foe. If you thought that Thanos was scary, then get prepared for Avengers 4 because according to some new merchandise from the film, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will have to face an even greater threat in their next adventure.

Yesterday, a toy box from an Avengers 4 toy line gave fans a new look at Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) in some brand new space suits, with Thor donning the powerful weapon Stormbreaker. In the photo, there was text on the box that accompanied the images but it wasn’t clear enough to read. The text has finally been uncovered and it teases a new villain for the heroes of the MCU to face. This is what the text says.

“The Asgardian Thor wields the mighty Stormbreaker in his battle against new foes. Rocket teams up with a new crew to guard the galaxy from an even greater threat.”

It seems that Thor, Rocket, and the new Guardians of the Galaxy will be going up against not just one new foe, but many. The text didn’t reveal who the new Guardians of the Galaxy are but there are certainly many options. The original Guardians of the Galaxy from the comics was teased in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, then there’s, of course, the survivors of Thanos’ snap. Characters like Nebula (Karen Gillan), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Captain America (Chris Evans), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), and James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) all survived the snap and could be next in line for a spot on the Guardians.

Nothing has been confirmed though and fans will have to continue to wait patiently for Marvel to even reveal the title of the fourth Avengers film. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Avengers 4 as more information becomes available. What are your thoughts on the description?
