Mark Ruffalo’s Redacted ‘Avengers 4’ Title Drop Has Been Revealed

One Marvel fan was able to figure out the Avengers 4 title that Mark Ruffalo revealed while making an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

A year before Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters, star Mark Ruffalo accidentally revealed the events of the film’s devastating finale. He didn’t reveal specific names, but he did reveal enough of the ending to make co-star Don Cheadle, who was sitting next to him, lose his cool. Nobody thought anything of the slip up until after the film hit theaters but since then, fans have been keeping a close eye on when Ruffalo could slip up again.

Ruffalo recently teased that he wanted Jimmy Fallon to remove the moment of his interview on Fallon’s late-night show where he revealed the title of the next Avengers film. Many fans took this as a humorous tease that the title would be officially revealed during the interview but instead, Ruffalo revealed the title only to be censored, leaving only those in the room as the ones able to hear it. Well, they were until today. Twitter user Anton Volkov was able to decipher the title using audio editing technology. Check out the post below to take a listen to the title and see how Volkov was able to uncover the audio.

If you’re still not sure what Ruffalo said, it was The Last Avenger. The title doesn’t seem too far-fetched and pays homage to 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger but Avengers: The Last Avenger isn’t exactly something that rolls off the tongue very smoothly. Even Volkov admits in his post that this may not actually be the official title of the next film, but simply what Ruffalo said on the show.
