Avengers star Chris Hemsworth and his family are contributing $1 million to support the fight against the bushfires in Australia.
For months, Australia has been devastated by the bushfires that have claimed the lives of more than 20 people and countless animals. Today, Avengers star Chris Hemsworth called on fans to donate whatever money they can to help with Australian fire relief through a post on his official Instagram account.
The Avengers: Endgame star also pledged to donate $1 million towards Australia’s fire-fighting efforts himself. The caption of Chris Hemsworth’s post partly reads, “Like you, I want to support the fight against the bushfires here in Australia. My family and I are contributing a million dollars. Hopefully, you guys can chip in too. Every penny counts so whatever you can muster up is greatly appreciated.”

The Avengers: Endgame star also shared a link for fans to follow to find out how they can support organizations and charities working to provide support and relief to those affected by the fires.
