Avengers: Infinity War star Dave Bautista officially announced his retirement from WWE in a post on his Instagram account.
While Dave Bautista is perhaps best known for his WWE career, the wrestler has focused on his acting career in recent years with roles like Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War. However, after a five-year hiatus from WWE, Dave Bautista returned to ring for a final fight with Triple H. Now, Dave Bautista has officially announced his WrestleMania 35 fight will be his last WWE performance and took to social media to thanks fans for their support throughout his wrestling career:
I’ll miss this theater of violence more than I can express in words but I am officially retiring from Sports Entertainment. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, I leave in great health, and without a doubt the show will go on. I had a hell of a run. Thank you for the journey.”

Dave Bautista is expected to reprise his role as Drax in Guardians of the Guardians Vol. 3, but first fans will have to see if and how the character returns in Avengers: Endgame after becoming one of the victims of Thanos’ decimation
